Heritage Park Amphitheater is the newest addition to the Upstate’s live entertainment landscape. Opening in the late summer of 2008 and located 15 miles southeast of downtown Greenville in Simpsonville, the amphitheater will showcase top entertainment in a beautiful outdoor setting. A new addition to the award winning 90 acre Heritage Park complex, the Amphitheater is housed in a natural setting that makes any event it hosts sound even sweeter. With the potential for approximately 3,700 seats in front of the stage, and a capacity of over 12,000 on the lawn, the amphitheater can be configured to meet the needs of any event. Whether the event calls for an intimate setup of tables with linens, a reserved seated setup, or a completely open general admission area, Heritage Park Amphitheater offers many flexible seating options. The amphitheater is home to the award winning Freedom Weekend Aloft Balloon Festival, which attracts crowds of almost 200,000 each Memorial Day Weekend. Past performers at the festival have included Montgomery Gentry, Huey Lewis and the News, Goo Goo Dolls, Gov’t Mule, and Gary Allen. The Greenville Symphony Orchestra will be making Heritage Park Amphitheater it’s home for their annual Independence Day Celebration on July 4th. Heritage Park Amphitheater is destined to become the preferred summer concert location for music fans of the Upstate.
