BMW Manufacturing was recently featured on the National Geographic Channel's "Ultimate Factories" program. The hour-long program focused on the building of the Z4 Roadster and was a one-of-a-kind, behind-the-scenes tour of what it takes to create this world class automobile. The National Geographic Channel filmed in Landshut, Germany, where the six-cylinder crankcases are made, at the Munich factory that assembles 1,200 engines a day, and spent seven days at BMW Manufacturing in Upstate South Carolina where every BMW Z4 is built.
