[Greenville, SC] Artisphere, Greenville's Spring Arts Festival, launched a new website to promote the event which will take place Downtown May 8-10, 2009. Patrons can visit www.artisphere.us to view attractions and all that is happening to celebrate and promote the arts in Greenville throughout the weekend.

"Artisphere's new website provides great information about all aspects of the Festival, including visiting artists, activities, schedules, and Kidsphere," said Brad Campbell, Chairman of Artisphere. "There is also information about the other arts events happening in Greenville at that time. We want Artisphere's website to be a complete guide to all of the local arts events happening on Greenville's Arts Weekend."

The festival, ranked a "Top Twenty Event" in the Southeast by Southeast Tourism Society, is growing in popularity with locals and tourists alike drawing 100,000 patrons to the 2008 event. The website is a critical tool, not only does it provide general programming information and VIP opportunities; it will also allow patrons to become familiar with the artists, their mediums, their work and their personal mission statements.

"For many festival patrons from out of town, the Artisphere website is their first impression of Greenville," said Alan Ethridge, Executive Director of Metropolitan Arts Council. "It is important that the site not only provide pertinent information, it also needs to paint the picture of all Greenville has to offer in the way of arts, culture and life."

To list an event on the Artisphere website go to www.artisphere.us and click on the Art Around Town tab to submit a Collaborative Activity application. Your event must meet the Festival Outreach Requirements, available on the site.

Artisphere's mission is to showcase the arts, reflect the area's international flair, encourage economic development and bring awareness to existing local arts programs. The festival provides a diverse menu of experiences that center around the arts, both visual and performing, and Greenville's multicultural offerings to appeal to visitors from around the world, as well as residents throughout the region. More information is included on the Artisphere website at www.artisphere.us. Artisphere is presented by Carolina First.
